Plaintiff was a police officer injured by a patient at the defendant’s hospital while the plaintiff was attempting to detain the patient. Plaintiff alleged negligence on the part of the hospital for failing to supervise teh patient who was in for a psych evaluation. Defendant claimed that the plaintiff’s claims were barred by the firefighter’s rule. The Court found in favor of the plaintiff.
