Getting into college can be one of the most exciting times in a person’s life. However, all too often, that excitement is hindered by the financial burdens of tuition and the other costs associated with higher education. Claggett, Sykes & Garza is proud to extend a scholarship to a deserving student who is the first in their immediate family to go to college. Andrew Garza, a partner in the firm, was the first in his family to attend a four-year college. It is important to the firm to support and encourage students who find themselves in the same position.
Our firm is proud to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a U.S. college student who produces the best essay detailing how our local and national governments can do more for the public education system. In a 750-word essay in 12-point Times New Roman font, please give a thorough answer to the following question: As a first-generation college student, in what ways do you think the public education system can be improved so that more people have the chance to attend college?
