Biography
Andrew Garza is a dedicated trial attorney and co-founder of Claggett, Sykes & Garza, LLC. His career is marked by a commitment to helping personal injury clients, a group often disadvantaged in their dealings with insurance companies. Growing up in public housing in Groton, Andrew faced challenges early on, working through college and law school in the hospitality industry. He has devoted his practice to helping those who are most vulnerable to obtain justice. Andrew uses his skills to level the playing field for his clients.
In 2022, he achieved a landmark victory with a $100 million jury verdict, the highest bodily injury verdict in Connecticut’s state history. This achievement underscores his reputation as a fierce advocate in the courtroom.
When Andrew is not in the court room fighting for clients, he is in the classroom teaching the next class of aspiring trial lawyers. Andrew is a faculty member at Keenan Trial Institute where he received the 2022 Trial Lawyer of the Year award.
When he is not practicing law, Andrew is probably hosting a great party for his family and friends or building furniture in his workshop.
Education
Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut. He graduated cum laude from New England School of Law, where he was a New England Scholar and served on the executive board of The New England Law Review.
